Racial tensions run high in this movie by Spike Lee. Flipper Purify (Wesley Snipes) is working at an architectural firm when they hire a temporary secretary named Angie Tucci. (Annabella Sciorra) The two develop a friendship and soon become involved in a serious relationship. Unfortunately for the couple, most of their friends and family are very disapproving of the relationship since Flipper is black and Angie is Italian -American. There is quite a bit of pressure put on the two lovers from loved ones that they must fight against in order to be together. And there's even the problem of drug abuse by Flipper's brother Gator.(Samuel L. Jackson) that complicates matters. Will these two be able to put aside the doubts other's have placed in their heads and find the love they know they have for each other?
