Two men who make a living out of conning others bump into each other by chance. Richard (John C Reilly) has drifted through life cheating almost everybody he comes, across even his own family, whereas Rodrigo (Diego Luna) is full of boyish charm and very affable. Richard’s usual partner is unavailable so he offers Rodrigo the chance to work with him for a day. As Rodrigo is desperate for the money to help pay off his father’s gambling debts he accepts the offer. During the next 24 hours the two con men can make a small fortune of $750,000 if they can persuade a currency collector to buy a counterfeit copy of an extremely rare currency note.
