Frank Diaz (John Leguizamo), Angela (Leonor Varela) and their two beautiful children find themselves being evicted from their lovely apartment in New York City. The family has no choice but to make themselves comfortable in a homeless shelter. Fortunately, after several difficult months the family find a glimmer of hope and it happens during Christmas Eve when a nearby housing project has an apartment which is available immediately. However, in order for Frank to obtain residency in one of the houses, he will need a stable job in order to qualify. Frank, together with his ten-year-old stepson, Justin (David Castro) start roaming the city in the hope to find a job that he can secure before the day wears off so that the family will be able to celebrate Christmas the next morning in their brand new home.
